So right, “radical chic” acquaintance is dead into homoeopathy, and she has a boil on the back of her head.
Stinky, sore, throbbing, irritating and been around since mid August.
Now at least we are talking about a self limiting condition, this will go away eventually even if the sum total of treatment is sugar water/“magic”, although the "magic" will get all the credit. Even if it takes till Xmas.
So anyway, after staying awake for the latest evangelical instalment (in-between loud winces as she moved her head too far/fast) something occurred to me.
This “memory” that water has, thanks to succussion and the “energy” being retained as a curative byproduct of the active ingredient, now diluted to the point of no longer being present (molecularly speaking - LOL).
How come this memory is selective ?
With all the substances that water has come into contact with over squillions of years, and how it gets bashed about by nature (naturally occurring succussion) and mixed up constantly by the water cycle from one body of water to another..how come every glass of water we drink isn't a broad spectrum homoeopathic cure ?
If the fundamental principle of homoeopathy worked at all none of us would ever be sick anyway thanks to 80% of our own bodyweight (hey I do aerobics and step, my personal water is well succussed) and the additional extra that we stick in it on a daily basis via food and drink.
And don't you give me “you have to do the succussion just so as per the Vid on youtube", Hahnemann himself, the father of homoeopathy insisted on very precise padded travel arrangement for prepared remedies cos he didn't want the bumpy action of horse and carriage on rough roads to over energise the remedies and make them “too potent”.
Oh how I wish I could get that lot out in more or less grammatically correct Italian despite rising blood pressure when discussing this with Ms Be-Boiled Radical Chic.
Unfortunately my language skills are impeded by pissedoffyness (and giving birth) so she is less likely to become acquainted with my point via a good debate than she is with an unexpected succussion of said boil using a nearby plate.
Mind you, that'd do the sodding boil more good than all that expensive sugar water she is chugging.

Of course I remember dancing in the rain. It is something I do often and when I do I think of you. Next summer I'll see if Mr. will film me (briefly) dancing in the rain and I will say "This is for you my Italian rain dancer." Heh.
The gift is a blog award, a proximade, the instructions are in italics at the beginning. :)
